Planning Director
Job description
For our client in Saudi Arabia, we are looking for a Planning Director.
You will be responsible for reviewing, checking and ensuring that all projects are being planned, controlled and reported on in the appropriate manner.
You also will prepare base/feasibility information for project plans for Design and Build schemes and update and maintain progress on all projects, identifying issues with meeting key deadlines and objectives.
you will lead the production of project progress reports based on critical path analysis, earned values and project actual progress.
In addition you will produce and manage resource programs for the design and delivery teams’ workload and ensure all project specific programs are cost and resource loaded.
Projects typically have a value of SAR100m - SAR1b and you will typically manage a portfolio of approximately 10 projects concurrently.
You are pursuing several mega-projects so experience with this degree of complexity is desired.
You will report to the CEO.
Demands
Minimum PMP certification or equivalent
20 years planning/project controls engineering experience.
15 years management experience.
Requires management experience over multiple concurrent projects.
Experience working in the Middle East.
Must be an experienced Planner with strong project planning, project controls and project reporting experience.
Must be fully conversant with critical path analysis, earned value reports, claims and delay analysis.
Must be highly competent in the use of project planning tools including MS Project and Primavera p6 and possess excellent communication and influencing skills.
Must have civil construction experience. Planning experience on infrastructure, petrochemical, telecommunications & power projects would be advantageous.
